Last week I moved from a Mac Mini to a MacBook Pro. I had a Thunderbolt display so the keyboard controls for brightness worked perfectly. But with the MacBook Pro you can only control its screen. So if you want to adjust the screen of your thunderbolt display just use control + F1 and control + F2
I’ve used Windows all my life and when I changed to Apple i was quite lost. I found an alternative for everything but opening a file from the keyboard. I’d press enter and then the file name was ready to be rewritten.
It was just recently that I discovered that cmd + down opens the file. I practically saw fireworks when I discovered this shortcut!
